Levada hike

The Levada do Furado (Ribeiro Frio/Portela)

From Ribeiro Frio to Portela.

This varied Levada hike leads us through the laurel forest from Ribeiro Frio to Portela. The tour has everything that makes a Levada trail interesting: rock breakthroughs, tunnels and above all the lush vegetation. Water drips and flows from moss-covered walls and from time to time the green jungle clears up and offers a phenomenal view of Madeira's highest peaks. At the end of the levada you can enjoy Portela in a good inn.

North coast walk
 

An extremely varied hike is the way over the Boca do Risco. At the top there is a breathtaking view over the north coast with its roaring surf on the steep coast. We continue past Larano until we can enjoy the view of the small charming village of Porto da Cruz. Porto da Cruz is a small municipality in the district of Machico in the northeast of Madeira. Our hike ends in Porto da Cruz.
